Virtual Worship Sunday!

No In-Person Worship Tomorrow (Sunday, January 25, 2026)

As many of you have likely heard, a significant winter storm is expected to move through the Pittsburgh area early Sunday morning, bringing snow throughout the day. Current forecasts are calling for 8–10 inches of accumulation.

After prayerful and careful consideration, the Session has decided to cancel all in-person worship services this Sunday, January 25. While we are no strangers to Pittsburgh weather keeping us on our toes, when it comes to everyone’s safety, we feel called to err on the side of care. Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is stay home, keep warm, and check in on our neighbors.

We will gather for worship online via Zoom at 10:30 a.m. (additional Zoom details are below), led by Rev. Tom Clifton, with music provided by Micki.

Before or after the service, we encourage you to listen to Sing for Joy from St. Olaf College—a 30-minute program featuring beautiful music and the story of Jesus calling his first disciples.

We trust that even when plans shift, God’s presence does not. God’s presence is right where you are—wherever you are.

I will also be joining you on Zoom and would love to see you there as we worship and connect together, even from our separate spaces.

As we prepare to stay home and stay safe, let us also hold in our hearts those for whom severe weather brings added vulnerability—our unhoused neighbors, those who must continue working in difficult conditions, and those for whom being confined indoors may be especially hard or unsafe.

If you are able, consider checking in on a neighbor, making a call or sending a text, or supporting a local warming center or mutual aid effort. Small acts of care—especially in moments like this—are holy work.
